Kristin Schenk
Kristin Schenk obtained a Bachelors of Music in Music Education and a Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. She currently serves as the Vocal Music Teacher at the Cranbury School in Cranbury, NJ. Kristin leads general music classes for their Kindergarten through 5th grade as well as leading several choirs ranging from beginners to auditioned middle school groups. Kristin works with children's choirs throughout NJ and PA. She currently serves as a teaching artist at the Trenton Children's Chorus and directs Children and Youth Music ministry at Lenape Valley Church in New Britain, PA. Throughout her career, she has performed on stages including the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, the White House, and Carnegie Hall. She has worked with organizations such as the American Boychoir School, the Conducting Institute at Oxford, and the Jamaica Field Service Project. She consistently performs with local professional groups such as the LOTUS Project, The Same Stream Choir, and Glassbrook Vocal Ensemble.
Kristin also directs the musicals at the Cranbury School, helping students tell these stories through music, dance, blocking, and acting skills. Additionally, she works with the Cranbury Arts Council directing children's and community theatre productions. Some of these productions include: Once on the Island Jr., High School Musical Jr., Mary Poppins Jr., Jungle Book Kids, and A Christmas Carol. Kristin has taught with Cornerstone Music Studios since 2018 and is thrilled to continue her work here through the co-direction of the Cornerstone Community Arts Project (CCAP) summer program! She co-directed 101 Dalmations Kids in 2022, Willy Wonka Jr. in 2023, and cannot wait to get started again this summer!
